Description

This course builds on students’ previous experience with functions and develops their understanding of calculus and vectors. Students will solve problems involving rates of change and areas under curves; represent transformations, combinations, and compositions of functions; develop the concepts of limits and derivatives of polynomial, sinusoidal, exponential, rational, and radical functions; and represent curves using parametric equations. Students will also analyze geometric and algebraic properties of vectors, and apply these concepts to the modeling of real-world problems. Prerequisite: Advanced Functions, Grade 12, University Preparation (MHF4U)
